Then & Now

When Mario and I first met he was in a band and that was a huge part of his life for a long time. While we were dating it was a huge chunk of who we were as a couple. Life happened and we grew up a lot and with full time jobs and a lot of responsibility and the band became a thing of the past, but after 3yrs of no activity In The Making had a reunion show. It was so great! Mario sang his lungs out and sounded like an angel (singing rock). Everybody had a great time and my man was amazing and we are still hip and with it! :D Sooooooo proud of my sweetums!!!

I have finally found a job!!!

After months of searching I have found a job! I was starting to get desperate and I was applying for jobs I wasn't really genuinely interested in. To my suprise I got the position I actually want. It is a 30 minute commute but totally worth it!!! After spending a year out of the cosmetology field I have new insight and I feel like it is really what I want to do! Also Mario's schedule has recently changed and I didn't get any say what my schedule was..... but..... amazingly we both work the exact same days! Which also means we have the same days off! I am so loving this idea!

AMAZING!

Last month I had the pleasure of being there while my sister had her baby! It was amazing!!! It is so beyond words! Seeing the birth of a child is one of those things that really change your life!!! It is absolutely breath taking. I guess what I am trying to say is being there really shows me what is important in life! Family is where its at! I have a fabulous family and I couldn't be any luckier! Me and Mario are luck to have eachother, and our extended families are so loving and supportive! I am one lucky person! Jennifer is a champion, she makes that whole baby-having thing look like cake! I love my sister, she has been a wonderful rolemodel throughout my life and she is a wonderful mommy! I am so thankful to have such wonderful women in my life to aspire to be like! Thank you Jen for being such an awesome sister and mother!

Colorado

This past week I went to Colorado with my parents and niece. It was a really fantastic trip, I was able to see my brother, Kevin, and his family (Tammy[wife]&Olivia[daughter]) as well as my BFF, Camry. It was so great to get away and also see some people I don't see very often! This trip reminded me of how much I love my sweet niece, Audrie. She was so good! She didn't complain at all! She went above and beyond what you would expect from a 5yr old. Loved it! I can't believe how luck I have been!

Tucson!

Mario and I recenty moved to Tucson! So far we are loving it and this month has been truly amazing. Sometimes, I guess, it takes falling flat on you face to realize how truly blessed you are! We have spent the last year reeling from unfortunate circumstances over which we had absolutely no control. Through our trial we were able to gain a better perspective on life. We are two of the luckiest people to ever walk the earth. Over the past year Mario was able to go back to school and become better educated (he is now an EMT for Southwest Ambulance and so far it is going very well and he likes it), we have been shown love by friends and family members like you wouldn't even believe, and through hardship we have grown closer as husband and wife. Now we are getting back on our feet and are determined to find "joy in the journey" and "bloom where [we] are planted." Hooray!

First Kiss!

Today is the third anniversary of the first time Mario and I kissed! It feels so good to know that we will kiss every day for the rest of our lives! It is good to know that though all the hard times and good we will share be together every step. Mario is such a sweet man, his kind heart is amazing to and I cannot believe he picked me to be his wife!

Finally A Blog!

So I have finally succumb to peer pressure and started a blog. We are at an interesting point in our lives. Mario who was recently laid off has now become a licensed EMT and is looking for employment. I am a licensed cosmetologist but am working at the county doing Attendant Care just to make ends meet while we get back on our feet. We are so lucky! I have a wonderful supportive family and we are getting through with their help. Of course we hope to become independent once again but we feel extremely blessed!
